About Refugee

As we all know , the problem of refugee is one of the big social problems . People regard the status of refugees as "being outside their country of nationality or habitual residence".

The refugees exist not only in African, but also in Asia、Europe and some other areas.Every year the refugee population increases by almost 3%. But there is nothing surprising about that .

Refugees are homeless and helpless . They need help .Because of the armed conflict, discrimination and persecution, they exist around the world . Being a "refugee" meant many things:
Not only being far from home , but not having a home；
Not only being in a new country , but not having the full rights and security of any country;
Not only being separated from family members , but not knowing where many of them were or if they would ever be see again.

Of course , they have the right to live normally . But in this situation ,how to solve the problem ?

First, I think they themselves should self-respect and have the consciousness of independence . They'd better develop themselves in any way they can , then may hope for realizing a better future . Second, we should pay attention to them .We can donate some money and some other things to help them to rebuilt their homestead . Also , the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is an oraginization which is devoted to help refugees . What's more , in December 2000,the United Nations general assembly decided to put on June 20th every year as the "World Refugee Day".

All in All , the society is a big family . We should try our best to help these refugees. Maybe we can built a more harmonious society by helping them .
